Hip Hop students learn a choreographed routine to perform in the annual Premier School of Dance concert performing for family and friends. It’s a highlight of the year for the students and the best way to build confidence and self esteem (beginner classes only).

Hip Hop is a street style dance originating from the Bronx in New York City in the 1970’s. Constantly evolving, it is a free, funky and soulful expression of movement used by artists such as Beyoncé, Kayne West, Justin Timberlake, Neo, Flo Rida and Rhianna.

This class starts with warm-up, stretch and isolations. You will learn a broad range of Hip Hop steps and styles, as well as some basic popping and locking and how to integrate these moves in a choreographed routine to perform in the annual Premier School of Dance concert. The concert routine gives the students something to work towards. They simply love performing and showcasing their hard work for friends and family in the audience. It’s the best way to build confidence and self-esteem and feel a great sense of pride and achievement.

Hip Hop at Premier School of Dance is an experience not to be missed. You’ll love the age appropriate music (profanity free) and moves and will get a great work out while learning how to bust a move on the dance floor.

The classes are low in cost and new students receive 50% off their first term fees.
